• 1957 – Local businessmen

           and farmers established the

           Dobson plant as Dobson Poultry

• 1963 – Complex sold to Caroline Foods, a

           division of Textron

• 1968 – Complex sold to Wilson and Company
• 1977 – Complex sold to Tyson Foods Inc.
• 1979 – Complex sold to Carrolls and Marvel Poultry Company
• 1980 – Complex purchased by Wayne Farms
• 1984 – Added second shift processing
• 1993 – Land purchase surrounding plant, office expansion
• 1996 – Land purchase, constructed new HR/Administration building
• 1998 – Land purchase for new feed mill
• 2004 – Expansion – added 94 more jobs and 60 contract grower chicken houses
