Albertville, Al. (July 1, 2008) – Wayne Farms LLC’s Albertville facility recently celebrated a milestone in safety and production by operating three million man-hours without a lost-time accident. “No lost time” means that no employee has missed work due to an injury suffered on the job.

“In addition to traditional safety practices, we implemented a program called WorkSAFE,” said Doug Hester, Wayne Farms LLC North Alabama Area Manager. “The program integrates safety and quality into the plant’s culture at all levels of our operation, protecting our valued employees through teamwork.

The Albertville facility is a 42,000 square-foot processing plant and has been owned and operated by Wayne Farms LLC since 1963.
