PRESIDENT, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER & CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

As President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Wayne Farms, Clint Rivers leads one of the nation’s largest poultry production companies, serving many of the best-known restaurant, food service, retail and institutional brands. In these roles, he directs major strategic and growth initiatives while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company.

Clint joined Wayne Farms in 2012 as Vice President and General Manager of the Fresh Business Unit, leading the company’s acquisition of its Dothan, Alabama facility. Named Chief Operating Officer in 2014, President and CEO in 2017 and Chairman of the Board in 2020, he led the $350 million expansion of the company’s south Alabama operation, initiation of our small bird program and completion of our research and development facility, the Customer Innovation Center. Over the last two years, Clint has overseen development of the no-antibiotics-ever product segment and the company’s entry into the branded retail marketplace with the advent of Naked Truth products.

Clint’s poultry career began as a microbiologist and quality assurance foreman with Golden West Foods. His 40 years of operational and management experience span senior leadership roles with some of the industry’s top poultry producers. Prior to joining Wayne Farms, Clint served as President of Foodservice and Supply Chain with Perdue Farms, and in successive leadership roles with Pilgrim’s Pride including Chief Operating Officer, President and CEO.

Clint earned a degree in Animal Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. An industry leader, he currently serves as Chairman of the National Chicken Council. His strong faith parallels the company’s core values and mission, driving his emphasis on individual excellence and continuous improvement as conduits to unique personal and professional opportunities.
