PAYMENT REMITTANCE Fraud

Wayne Farms has been advised of a fraud actor posing as a Wayne Farms representative directing a change in remit to instructions. The fraud actor used an unsecured mail server that created and delivered an email from a visually accurate waynefarms.com address. The fraud was NOT evident by “hovering over” the address. The “reply to” address was a waynefarNs.com address, and this introduced further communications that fraudulently directed a change in payment instructions.

We understand the risk this poses to our business partners and we ask that all vendors or customers that issue payments to our company never change payment arrangements without confirming directly by phone with your Wayne Farms account manager.
