GAINESVILLE, Ga. (March 26, 2012) – Elton Maddox, President/CEO of Wayne Farms LLC, along with two others, will be inducted into the Northeast Georgia Business Hall of Fame in April of this year.
The three individuals are known for their involvement in the economic and civic development of not only northeast Georgia, but the entire state. They showcase for students what it takes to be successful in today's global economy, and demonstrate that a person's service to his fellow man is one of life's most important roles.
In addition to his oversight of Wayne Farms, Elton Maddox has held many leadership positions in the poultry industry, including Director of the National Chicken Council. He has also been a leader in church and mission activities. Maddox and his wife Claire have established free Christian camps for children both locally and throughout the world.
Elton and the other laureates will be inducted into the Northeast Business Hall of Fame on April 12th at the Chattahoochee Country Club. The event benefits the Junior Achievement of Georgia.
